A vacation in Fiji will need a careful look at the type of  accommodations that are desired, the price range, activities and dining  rooms available. Accommodations for singles or young couples are usually  appropriate for families. The older generation may prefer a different  island location to find interesting activities as well as more  appropriate accommodations. Backpackers and hikers are special in Fiji.

In  addition to the cost of plane fare, the specific island location and  the range of prices for necessities and extras seem to top the list of  considerations for all travelers. All of the island spots are quite  beautiful, but some spots offer nicer accommodations than others. These  are the more expensive sites, yet these are the places that some  travelers prefer.

Couples generally gravitate to somewhat quiet  places where the accommodations and restaurants are as exquisite as the  pocketbook will permit. For those who have vacationed in Fiji more than  once, some especially enjoy Castaway Island and the Castaway Resort.  Here couples stay right on the white sandy beaches for which Fiji is so  famous. Travelers may explore the tropical rainforests and coral reefs  or stay in seclusion and just enjoy the luxury of this special location.  There are a variety of hotels in this locale and many good restaurants  providing cultural cuisines. All sites that are appropriate for couples  generally are good spots to take the family as well.

Tubakula is  one of the most popular backpacking retreats at all of the Fiji Island  locations. It is a relatively quiet locale, adorned with white sands and  extremely colorful sunsets. All accommodations are very affordable as  are the meals. Bungalows are equipped with kitchens and other residences  share a communal kitchen. Rooms are available in cottages which share a  kitchen and bath. The Beach House on the Coral Coast of Viti Levu is an  ideal and very reasonable spot for backpackers in addition to other  vacationers.

The elderly who are still 'young at heart' and  wishing to see Fiji may want to book an all-inclusive vacation and allow  someone else to take care of everything. One really nice holiday can be  booked at the Seashell in Nadi, Fiji. The vacation includes five days  of a well-planned itinerary that begins with relaxing, experiencing the  white sandy beaches and breathing in the fresh ocean air. The second day  involves a bus ride to Mt. Ruko for a walk through the rainforest where  vacationers can view waterfalls and lakes. Day three provides a trip  into town for local shopping and dining. Day four is for golfing and  spas and the last day for relaxation.

There are many private  rentals for vacationers of all ages at various island locales. Some  villas, cottages, lodges and condos with beautiful ocean views are  equipped with all of the amenities including private swimming pools and  Jacuzzis. Accommodations for one, two or as many as ten people are  located among swaying palms found near the ocean shorelines.

For  those who live in Australia and New Zealand, Fiji is a very popular  vacation destination. Flights from capital cities can be booked daily.  There are many economical flights and fiji holiday packages offered to  fit any budget. The interest in Fiji has allowed for good pricing  options in addition to frequent flights.

The economy of Fiji is  based primarily upon tourism and so the locals have a great deal to  offer to vacationers who spend their holidays with them. Snorkeling and  diving are among the many activities. Fine dining restaurants with vast  variety of fresh seafood, steaks and luscious tropical fruits are  available year round. The islanders are always looking for ways to  improve their establishments and services. Fiji will always be  experienced as the ideal tropical island paradise.
